A. We have had dancing, singing, bands,
instrumentals, acting, comedy, magic and
more! We welcome any and all types of
talents.
Q. Is there an entry fee for the show?
A. There is no entry fee for performing in the
show. And there is no ticket fee for those
attending the show.
Q. Is there a minimum/maximum number of
people required for an act?
A. There is no minimum or maximum for the
act, but larger acts fill the stage very nicely
and add an impactful visual element.

About our show:
The Chesak/Martin Variety Show is an annual event our students look forward to
each year! For the past 9 years, our committee has always had a mindset of
inclusion for all students and staff members. Each child who tries out will be
invited to participate in the show in one way or another.
We have always offered a professionally made copy of a DVD of the show for a
minimal purchase price, usually under $10.
The Variety Show is a wonderful experience and a boatload of fun for all who are
in the show and for those who volunteer to help make this opportunity available to
our students.

may be in the show
►Acts must be 3 minutes or less (no
exceptions)
►No lip syncing. We want to hear you sing!
►No profanity or inappropriate lyrical
content whatsoever
►A CD copy of music (cut to the proper time
allowance) must be submitted at tryouts to
be kept for the show along with a copy of the
lyrics for content approval. (CD will be
returned at the end of the show)
►Have a general idea of what costumes you
will be wearing at tryouts. It is not necessary
to have the costume at tryouts.
►All music, dance routines and costumes
must be appropriate for elementary
school. Any inappropriate lyrics, costuming
or dancing can not be used in the show.
